Teleprompter operator in Vancouver, BC
An operator who runs the script so your crew can run the show. $450 for a half day and $750 for a full day, working on your confidence monitors or prompter hardware.
For AV companies and venues
Prompting ties up a technician for the whole show. Booking an operator frees your crew for audio, video and lighting, and puts the script in the hands of someone whose only job is the speaker.
The operator arrives with laptops, software and a scroll controller, and feeds your switcher or monitors directly.
What the operator does
- Formats every script before the event
- Rehearses with each speaker and sets their text size
- Follows the speaker live through pauses and ad-libs
- Makes edits on the spot, including between speakers
- Keeps a running order for multi-speaker programs
How it fits your show
One line on your quote, one person on your comms. Half days cover up to 4 hours on site, full days up to 8, and overtime is $110 an hour after that.
